The event is a technology competition preceding the 2022 Commonwealth Games and is commonly known as Birmingham 2022. The Commonwealth Games is an international multi-sport event involving athletes from the Commonwealth of Nations, and being the 3rd most-watched event globally.

Scale-up Games winners from CEE will be invited to attend Scale-up Games 2022 in Birmingham and compete with Scale-ups from across the Globe, in front of a judging panel formed by top executives and VCs. In addition, winners will be offered an exclusive accounting and legal services package from European Business Solutions (EBS), a consultancy based in the UK.
