2016
Mar 28

Meet Sabine Sipunova, the founder and the head of operations at Sorry as a Service, a platform that enables customer support agents to dispatch physical apologies and experiences to customers with one-click in their CRM system. Sorry as a Service won the second place at the Startup Battle last year, and so we asked Sabine how her company is currently doing and what memories she keeps from last year.

So how Sorry as a Service is currently doing?
Sabine:
We have full focus on sales, we are constantly changing and improving the overall processes in sales, and our goal is to get as many customers as possible.

How did you like Login Startup Fair last year?
Sabine: We really enjoyed the pitching even, the mentoring was great, our mentor helped us a lot to sharpen the pitch! And next day we were more confident to pitch. We got new friends from fellow startups, Triniti and event organisers which is invaluable, and had loads of fun! Of course, the prize was quite useful as well!
I think there is definitely a good exposure. We met an investor from Passion Capital and some more. I think they spend even more attention to the startups they find here, as the region has quite good technical talent, and it is a great place to find some hidden gems here.

Whom would you recommend to take part at Login Startup Fair?
Sabine: I would definitely recommend to take part in Login Startup Fair, especially if you can get some stage presence in the event, as it can open many doors and bring intros from investors, PR contacts and fellow startups. Also if you are an international startup then I would suggest to come to Vilnius – startup scene is fascinating here!

Generally speaking – what would you suggest to startups that seek success?
Sabine: Try to use all the events and competition, as it drives great publicity which then attracts customers, mentors, employees etc. Startups usually don’t have very big budgets, therefore, it is important to use resources wisely, and take advantages to take this events. Also, pivot quickly if you feel that different direction would be better. And prioritise harshly.
