Rotten WiFi app travels worldwide: 151 countries in 60 days

It’s been two months since Lithuanian startup Rotten WiFi app was launched on the Appstore and during 60 days period users have tested internet connection in 151 countries. The most active countries were Philippines with 12.6%, Lithuania – 7.5%, not far behind Ecuador with 7.1%, Venezuela – 5.6%, USA – 5.2%.

Overall people have measured and evaluated hotspots in 185 hotels and 36 airports worldwide. The collected data disclose Top 5 hotels and airports with highest recorded WiFi download speed and client satisfaction rank:

Rotten WiFi app allows to evaluate wifi and 3G technical speed in public places and provides a possibilty for users to express their satisfaction about network connection, based on NPS method, as well as get a map of already tested public places nearby.

Rotten WiFi version for the Web will be launched in 2 weeks and for Android – in 3 weeks.

The latest feature in the web app will let the users download the customized map and list with addresses of tested WiFi spots in any place of the world they are going to visit and use it offline when arrive at the destination.
