Hacker Games, the main hackathon series in Lithuania, is kicking off next Friday in coastal Klaipėda. Last year, more than 100 creative minds formed 26 teams to build 26 exciting products or prototypes ranging from a motion tracker for sports to pets dating site for professional breeding. Can you make it better this year? The only way to figure out is registering now and working hard next weekend!

The Games, organized by Startup Lithuania and Koralis, is setting sail for Klaipėda on 23-25 (Friday to Sunday) of September. There will be separate tracks for game, software and hardware developers with 1K EUR in cash, industry trip, licences and other goodies in the prize fund, let alone dozens of mentors, cool venue, as well as free food, drinks and t-shirts for all participants.

Let’s have a quick look at what was build during the Hacker Games in Klaipėda last year though. A list to inspire or to tease you to make something bigger and impactful!

1. Speed Memory – a game that helps to foster brain skills for students and entrepreneurs.

2. Awesome Latvians – game which combines FarmVille and Diablo.

3. City vibes – an app that lets you to discover what happens around you by sending alerts to your smartphone when you pass by interesting new venues and events.

4. Wristy, a wristband that connects people on Facebook right after you touch two wristbands.

5. 48 Hours – a financial education app for kids.

6. Maisto Magnatas – online fast food business simulator – a game where one creates a fast food restaurant and tries being an entrepreneur.

7. Street Notes, an app that unites notes left by local people in the city and sends you alerts with historical facts when you pass by an interesting building, sculpture or another place of interest.

8. GuideDog, a people-generated walking tours app designed for individual tourists who can sort the tours according to their taste and available time.

9. FestiveAll, a place where new gigs kick off! A B2B solution for music business. It allows new bands and event and festival organizers to connect to each other.

10. The Guardian, a competitive game, created by one of the youngest teams at the hackathon.

11. Kirkir, a pets dating site for professional breeding.

12. Padirbėk.lt – a platform for people who are seeking simple part time jobs such as walking a dog etc.

13. Pill 2 learn – an app that helps you learn new things faster and easier.

14. Force, an app that enables people to create simple games.

15. Legend of The Iron Knight, a game that was built by the youngest team in the hackathon! Its designer was only 12 years old.

16. Hack Agency – a geo-location based game.

17. City Cleanup – a game where the player has to destroy unfinished buildings such as the famous abandoned hotel in Kaunas.

18. Klaipėda City App that combines events, public transport, information about places of interest, and eateries. It also has a feature that helps one to find new friends.

19. Nord, an the extension for Google Chrome that allows you to unblock censored content online.

20. Discover Klaipėda, a tourism app with content generated by local people guiding users both to famous and ‘secret’ places.

21. Ship Klaipėda, an app that provides you with the information about ships.

22. Raskmokytoja.lt, a platform for connecting tutors and students.

23. ReadAct, a platform that enables you to create your own news content by following journalists or newspapers.

24. what2do, a platform, where you can find new friends to spend time with and to do cool things together in Klaipėda.

25. DAPA, a device that tracks your moves and teaches you to run correctly. A motion tracker for sports.

26. Windrose, an app for windsurfing enthusiasts that tells you real time weather conditions.
