Funding for your travels to foreign startup events is back! We are waiting for your applications until the 17th of November via email [email protected].

What’s the purpose of the measure?
To promote the internationalization of Lithuanian startups, the establishment of contacts with foreign investors and/or potential partners, clients by reimbursing travel costs to foreign startup events.
What is the total amount allocated to the measure?
EUR 150,000, distributed as EUR 75,000 per period.
From which budget is the measure financed?
From the State of the Lithuania budget.
Which events are funded?
- International, i.e. taking place abroad;
- High-tech and/or startup related;
- Relevant to the field in which the applicant operates;
- Must take place in a foreign country that is not included in the list of countries not recommended for travel, as listed on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania https://keliauk.urm.lt/.
- Must take place in the period between 1 January – 31 December 2024.
- A maximum of two foreign events held/to be held in 2024 per startup may be funded.
Who can be an applicant?
- Startup, i.e. a startup company registered in Lithuania, which has been registered in the Register of Legal Entities for no more than 5 years.
How many times can the same applicant receive a grant per call?
- Two grants to attend different events in different foreign countries, but the total amount of the grants cannot exceed EUR 3,500 per startup.
How is the selection process carried out?
The selection process is continuous. Applicants can apply as soon as they have incurred the costs and can justify them even if the event has yet to take place.
Until when can I apply?
Until 17 November, 2024, 11:59pm.
Can I get a refund now, if I have attended an event since 1 January?
If event meets the criteria listed above, you’re entitled to be refunded.
Does the event have to have taken place and the costs incurred at the time of application?
The 2024 foreign event can be both ongoing at the time of application and yet to take place in the future (e.g. in a month other than the month in which the application is being submitted), but the costs (e.g. flight bookings, event ticket costs) must have already been incurred at the time of the application.
What documents must accompany the application?
- Single company declaration.
- Declaration of the applicant’s status as a small or medium-sized business entity.
- When the event has not yet taken place, the following is provided: documents confirming participant tickets or event registration; When the event has already taken place, the following is provided: documents substantiating the holding and participation in the event of foreign countries (report, together with the submission of photos of participation in the event, participant tickets, event participant cards and/or other documents proving the fact of participation in the event).Product and/or service presentation (Pitch Deck).
- Copies of documents confirming the postponement of payment of taxes, interest on late payment, fines when the payment of taxes, interest on late payment, fines to the applicant has been postponed in accordance with the procedure established by the legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania or there is a tax dispute regarding these taxes, interest on late payment, fines.
