The SME Fund is a European Commission initiative implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and will run from 10 January 2022 to 16 December 2022.

Startups and other small and medium-sized enterprises established in the European Union will be able to benefit from a fund set up by the European Union to submit applications for international, national, and European Union trademarks and designs and to cover the intellectual property pre-diagnosis (IP Scan) service.

A new upgrade is that this year is that support is also available for national patent applications.
