What’s going to happen in the Baltics after 3-5 years? What is missing for ultimate success of Baltic startups? How could three countries unite to achieve more visibility on the map of the world most startup friendly communities?  These topics were discussed during the panel “Another startup nation – what is a current status of Baltic startup ecosystems” at LOGIN Startup Fair 2015.

Dovydas Varkulevičius (Enterprise Lithuania): 2014 was a breakthrough for Lithuanian startups.  We really hope that Lithuania is going to become a games garage and a hub for startups.

Donatas Keras (Practica Capital): 2014 wasn't the best year, 2015 is going to be better. The  Baltics are becoming a hub for technology, including Ukraine and Russia. It might become a bridge towards Helsinki or Berlin.

Margus Uudam (Ambient Sound Investments): I’d like to see Baltics and Scandinavia working together. In size matter the Baltics compare to New York, which is a technology hub. However, investors don’t treat it as one region but it's a question of 5 to 10 years. Europe should operate as one, not as country by country.

Marija Odineca (Arctic Startup): Multiple languages, low price and high IT base should be the main message. Going as one instead of separate countries would be the right way. We are stronger in this way.

Vincent Fosty (Watify): Raise the profile of the region!

LOGIN Startup Fair is the biggest annual event for startups in the Baltics, organized by Enterprise Lithuania and Startup Lithuania. The event gathers together entrepreneurs, designers, programmers, investors and media from the whole region. Good news regarding funds raised by startups from foreign investors pop up after every event! LOGIN Startup Fair is the part of LOGIN, biggest annual progress conference in the Baltics, which will rock for the tenth time in May 2016.
