Are you a startup, registered in Lithuania for no longer than 5 years? We have some great news for you!

There is a new funding measure for you to cover costs of your trip to a conference or to an acceleration programme. Was it TechBBQ, Web Summit, Slush or any other – we are waiting for your applications until the 30th of November via email [email protected].

What’s the purpose of the measure?

To promote the internationalisation of Lithuanian startups, the establishment of contacts with foreign investors and/or potential partners, clients, as well as competence development by reimbursing the costs of participation in foreign events and/or accelerator programmes.

What’s the total amount allocated for the measure?

145 000 euros.

From which budget is the measure financed?

From the State of the Lithuania budget.

Which events/accelerator programmes are funded?

  • International, i.e. taking place abroad,
  • Related to high tech and/or startups,
  • Related to the field in which the applicant operates,
  • They must take place in a foreign country that is not included in the list of countries not recommended for travel, as published on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania at keliauk.urm.lt.
  • They must have been held in the period from 23 August 2022 to 30 November 2022.
  • The accelerator programme may not be shorter than 3 weeks.

Who can apply?

  • A startup, i.e. small or medium size company with a large and innovation-based business development potential, registered in the Register of Legal Entities of the Republic of Lithuania for no longer than 5 years.

Which costs are eligible?

  • Travel costs incurred and paid for between 23 August 2022 and 30 November 2022, according to the fixed rates:

  • 50% of eligible costs of participating in a foreign event or accelerator programme (tickets, registration fees, stand rental, etc.).

How many times can the same applicant receive a grant per call?

  • Two grants for participation in different foreign events,
  • One grant for participation in a foreign accelerator programme.

Total per call: one applicant can receive a grant for two different foreign events and one accelerator programme, i.e. a maximum of EUR 14 500 in total (max EUR 3 000 per event; max EUR 8 000 per accelerator programme).

How is the selection process organised?

The selection process is continuous. Priority for the grant is given to the first applicant to submit a duly completed application, except in the following cases:

– The applicant provides evidence of having participated at a foreign event as a speaker,

– The applicant provides evidence of having participated in a pitch battle or a startup competition held at a foreign event,

– The applicant provides evidence of having concluded at least one written agreement with potential investors and/or partners while participating at a foreign event or accelerator programme and can substantiate this with written documents.

What is the deadline for applications?

30th of November 2022, 23:59.

Does the event/accelerator programme have to have taken place and the costs incurred by 30 November?

Yes.

What documents must accompany the application?

  1. A single company declaration (form is provided in the Open Call);
  2. Documents supporting travel and participation in the foreign event/accelerator programme (programme/agenda, invitation letter, travel tickets, photographs or other documents supporting travel and participation);
  3. Documents supporting the costs of participation in the foreign event and/or accelerator programme (event tickets, payment documents, receipts, invoices and/or other documents supporting the costs);
  4. Documents supporting the priority for the grant (if any) (written agreements, evidence that the applicant has participated at a foreign event as a speaker or has participated in a pitch battle or a startup competition held at a foreign event);
  5. Copies of documents confirming the deferral of payment of taxes, penalty charges or fines, if the applicant is subject to the circumstances referred to in Point 27 of the Measure Description (in Lithuanian) (the payment of taxes, penalty charges or fines has been deferred in accordance with the procedure laid down by the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania, or there has been a dispute in respect of these taxes, penalty charges or fines).
