The British Embassies in the Nordic and Baltic countries together with the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK are proud to present a TechConnect initiative where we are inviting the brightest, most innovative and prominent Nordic and Baltic scale-ups within Fintech to join two half-day sessions in London. 15 companies will be selected to be coached through masterclasses, inspirational speeches, speed dating, and have the opportunity to meet important stakeholders in the industry. We are connecting founders with UK stakeholders, experts, and specialists, to prepare them to take their business to the next level.

Programme

Day 1 – Knowledge & Insight Day: Understanding the UK Market and the Regulatory Environment for fintechs 

Time: 15:30-19:00 (half day)

• Welcome and Introduction 
• The Case for the UK – The market after Brexit and the pandemic 
• Keynote: The finance system in the UK/the Fintech ecosystem
• Keynote: The Fintech regulatory environment in the UK
• Panel discussion incl. Q&A: Lessons learned by successful entrepreneurs 

Day 2 – Setting up and Scaling in the UK: Setting up Operationally and Scaling in the UK Market 
Time: 15:30-19:00 (half day)

• Welcome and Introduction
• Keynotes: Setting up in the UK operationally 
• Panel discussion incl. Q&A: Upcoming areas and opportunities across the UK
• Participating companies present their current needs in terms of Competence, Contacts and Capital with questions from a panel
