Garage48 goes to Kaliningrad: free Russian visas for Lithuanian participants!
2013
Jun 25

This summer Kaliningrad will host Garage48 for the very first time. The globally well known hackathon will take place on August 9 to 11 at the tent city “Baltic Artek” by the seaside.

Garage48 is an event for brave and active startup minded people who want to develop their ideas into working products over the course of a weekend. Garage48 brings together people with different skills and visionaries with ideas that could rock the world! We are skipping paperwork, spreadsheets and we're going back to the roots of tech projects for building the prototypes in good old "garage" way.

Take a look at past events.

Registration for Garage48 Kaliningrad is now open! All the events are carried out in English and international applicants are very much welcomed.

See more information and register now.

Organizers are ready to help with visa issues upon request. Hurry up, the deadline for free visas expires on the 27th of June.

Garage48 expects around 100 participants with various skills and knowledge: visionary entrepreneurs and project managers, marketers, designers and developers. A number of international mentors will support participants through-out the weekend and best teams will get references to get into great accelerator programs after the event. Best ideas come out from real life problems and can be generated by a teenager or housewife as well as senior professionals; thus we aim to bring together both exceptional tech talent and visionaries for a life-changing experience. Garage48 can be a place to launch a start-up, meet your next co-founders, learn more about product development and teamwork than in months of regular work and, most importantly, have fun by achieving more than one can imagine!

“Kaliningrad is a unique Russian region in Europe with a strong IT-cluster and a young, but fast growing startup community. We are very excited about the forthcoming Garage48 event in August and we welcome all our neighbours from Europe and the CIS countries to join this great international event!”-said Anna Khan, local co-organizer of Garage48 Kaliningrad, – “and don’t forget your swimming suit!”
